Better relationships with family and friends
Coaching for better connections
As human beings, we are hardwired to connect with others. Sometimes the quality of those connections with others – our family, our friends or even our colleagues, are not what we want them to be or we may be lacking meaningful connection with others that leaves us feeling unfulfilled.
In the Coaching for Better Connections program, we will work with you to look at how you approach relationships with people, the patterns that you get stuck in and how you can break out of those patterns to find and maintain successful relationships.

How you may be feeling right now
You feel unhappy about the quality of your relationships with family or friends
You want to maintain successful relationships but you're not sure how to go about it
You have lots of friends but no meaningful connections
There are tensions and things left unsaid but you don't know how to address it in the right way
You are stuck in a rut of repetitive patterns with relationships but you don't know how to change it
You want to resolve conflict with others and have open, effective communication
You have had bad experiences with people

Family Violence Recovery
Starting the journey
Leaving a family violence situation is one of the bravest decisions you can make. Often the first priority is to make sure you are in a safe environment and that any immediate challenges to your wellbeing are addressed. Beginning the recovery journey after you have left a family violence situation can feel overwhelming. But it is a vital step in the healing process to get back up on your feet and rebuild a sense of identity, purpose and stability. Life coaching is a crucial part of this recovery journey.

Family violence can be defined as any controlling or violent behaviour that causes emotional, psychological, sexual, financial or physical damage to a family member, partner or ex-partner, or causes them to feel fear.
How you may be feeling right now
You feel overwhelmed
You can't control your negative thinking
You carry shame or self-blame and want to release these heavy feelings
You are sick of the patterns you keep getting into
You constantly doubt yourself
You're ready to move beyond 'just coping' and create a life that feels joyful and fulfilling

It is a good time to engage in family violence recovery coaching when....

Your immediate safety concerns have already been met – for example, you are in safe accommodation.
You have the help and wellbeing support you need – for example, you have received support from a Social Worker at a Community Service Organisation such as Orange Door.
You are now looking at building a stable future, want to change your life for the better and make those changes stick.
